103: PROMISED LAND

The Black & Blue Orkestre did a major reworking of an earlier song, with all new beats, new bass and new twang–and new vocals. We feel the extra effort was worth the extra effort. See what you think:

I’m also happy to announce that the Orkestre did it’s first interview with writer Christine Bode. There were some interesting revelations during the interview, especially about strip clubs and singing in the shower.

Here’s the article.

In other semi-non-related news the psycho/porno/romcom/thriller movie I’m trying to make just made a significant step forward. Rick Santorum has signed on to play a Catholic priest with a fixation on Sarah Palin as his sexy choirboy. Still waiting to hear if Romney will play a church crossing guard who encourages folks to go both ways.

  1. Hey Tom,

Glad to see the Facebook pic of y’all is on the blog! Such an amazing photo of the 3 of you.

Just read the interview – informative, insightful, and of course, humorous! What I want to know is…was Will wearing a zombie outfit on the strip stage as part of the film he wanted to score? LOL.

I can’t wait to hear the new song, and yes, I will send lots of roses & whiskey if it can convince y’all to play live!

Keep it up, and great job!

  2. Thank you so much Tom, Will & Grog! Our interview was a lot of fun and I learned a few things too. I still want to know what brand of dry shampoo you use Tom, so you don’t have to get your hair wet!

I’d like to see Will in a zombie outfit on the strip stage as part of that upcoming film he’s going to score! And as for the the psycho/porno/romcom/thriller – can’t wait for that!! Talk about a must-see cast!

  3. Hey Tom,

It occurred to me while I was listening to one of your songs that your voice is similar to that of a certain Jim Morrison. It would be really cool to hear you sing with the remaining members of the Doors one day! It would be a good fit. Maybe you´ve already done it.

Always great to hear news from you! And I think Von trier is actually making a porno, no joke.

    Best,
    Sam

  4. Hi Tom,

I was all excited at the beginning of your sentence about the psycho/porn, etc. movie until you mentioned the cast and I realized you were yanking our chains again. You’re a bad, bad boy!

    love,

    Rai

    1. Hey Rai,
Do I yank chains? I think more I chank yains. I guess I just have a fertile (futile) imagination and hearing some of those people talk makes me think they’d really be good at porno.
