DELIRIOUS DIRECTOR’S CUT

Just before Delirious was first released several years ago some last minute editing choices were forced upon me that I've always regretted. It is one of my most personal and artistically satisfying films and to think of it locked in that form for eternity was excruciating to me.

I tried for years to restore it but the company that originally financed it went bankrupt and all the elements of the film disappeared, including anyone who might have known where they were.

Then, one day about a year ago, I met the person who currently owns the rights to the film. I purchased the blu-ray rights myself, restored the film to my original cut and it is now going to be released on streaming and blu-ray as my Director's Cut.

Not only is it one of my favorite films but it features an absolutely brilliant performance by Steve Buscemi. I wrote the film for him and I'm thrilled this release gives people a new chance to appreciate it.

Gina Gershon is also incredible in the film, as is Alison Lohman, Richard Short, Callie Thorne, Kevin Corrigan, David Wain, Elvis Costello and Cinque Lee. There is also a fantastic original score by Anton Sanko.

The Official Director's Cut is now available on VOD (Oct 6) and for the first time on Special Edition blu-ray (Oct 13).

Love the film. Discovered it I on Netflix maybe around 2009 or earlier. You don’t mention Michael Pitt here. Does he just rub everyone the wrong way or what?
