The Perceptive Eloquence of Karl Is My Unkle’s Review of “Shot Of Blue

I can’t thank KIMU for liking my song “Shot Of Blue”—that has always felt a little unethical to me. But, what I can do is tell you that I have never--never--had anyone write anything about something I created with the perceptive eloquence they have done here.

Reading these words feels like they were inside my heart and soul through the entire making of the song. Their words bring an emotional clarity to the song that I, of course, felt but could never have spoken.

So, now it is my turn to say that what they have written has impressed and moved me greatly.

“...a sonic and lyrical journey...with a yearning for transcendence...raw and poetic... DiCillo’s charisma is palpable...both deeply personal and universal, a fitting testament to DiCillo’s artistry as both a musician and a storyteller.” ~ KARL IS MY UNKLE
